UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) tests are used to diagnose and manage urinary tract infections. Here are some common UTI tests:
- Urinalysis (UA): – Dipstick test: detects nitrites, blood, and protein in urine. – Microscopic examination : detects bacteria, white blood cells, and red blood cells.
- Urine MCS : – Identifies the type of bacteria causing the infection and determines determines antibiotic susceptibility.
- HVS/Urethral Swab MCS : Identifies the type of bacteria causing the infection and determines antibiotic susceptibility.
- Full Blood Count (FBC) : – Detects signs of infection, such as elevated white blood cell count.
